Welcome to the Digital Marketing Track. This training is designed for individuals who want to deliver effective Digital Marketing Services to brands and businesses. We realized that when some people think of leveraging online for their business, their first start point is Social Media and they spend so much time there and get very little result. 

Digital Marketing includes all the relevant online activities required to help you put products and services using online channels so you can be seen by prospective customers who would actually take action. Social Media Management is just a piece of the pie. 

These tasks will take you through the relevant activities that can help you deliver results with Digital Marketing. 

WEEK 1 – BRAND/BUISINESS AUDIT

To get started, it’s best to look out for a business that needs this service right now. It can be your personal business or your personal brand.

If you really want to stretch yourself, reach out to the Digital Marketing coach in the community, and she will give you an brand to work with to help you build hands-on knowledge.

  1. Confirm the brand
  2. Do a Google Search or Check on the major social media platforms
  3. What Social Media Platforms are they currently listed on?
  4. How are their accounts set up?
  5. Take an inventory of their Social Media following

WEEK 1 – PERSONAL SOCIAL MEDIA SETUP

  1. Create/Update your social media account on 2 of the following platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok
  2. Add a profile (Logo or professional photo) and a compelling bio
  3. Establish a daily and weekly posting schedule.
  4. Create engaging posts for social media accounts – Start with an introductory post
  5. Identify and engage with 3-5 influencers who are doing what you like or want to learn
  6. Research and develop new strategies to improve social media marketing efforts.
  7. Stay current with new trends and technologies in the social media marketing space.
