Technology industry is a fast thinking, extremely dynamic industry. Navigating the world of Technology can be overwhelming and that’s because as Technology keeps evolving there’s so much to catch up on to keep up.
The Women and Tech Community is designed to help women build interest, learn, grow and earn from the comfort of their homes and build a No Code Technology career. Research has shown though women like the idea of building a Technology career but they think it’s hard because of coding and it’s better left to men. Some think they will not be good at it and most do not know where to start from.
Most women are not pursuing Technology careers because they do not know the career roadmap, have access to the resources and support that allows them to successfully pursue the path that is suitable for them.
What we do at WomenAndTech.Org is:
- Inspire interest in more women
- Connect with them and help to design a customized Technology career roadmap
- Mentor and support them to achieve success.
Our solution is innovative because it gives opportunities for growth through a customized roadmap and then allows each individual to leverage the area that is suitable for them. A lot of time we hear more women need to be in Technology but we hardly hear of how they can go about this. Our approach does not only advocate for Women in Technology but takes them on the journey.
Women and Tech Org
We designed a 10 week program and in 3 weeks of launching our program, we had 40% who are already recording progress.
Our initiative impacts positively on the environment as these women can learn, grow and earn from the comfort of their homes especially in this era of Covid19. It also focuses on looking out for local problems in the community that can be solved using Technology. Women empowerment positively impacts society. Through innovation, more women can design effective Technology solutions that are sustainable and scalable while continually adapting to the challenges and changes that the future brings.
Technology keeps evolving. It’s an industry that every other industry can and should leverage on. Considering that there’s always so much to learn, it’s a career that continues to offer opportunity for learning and development.
It is relevant to the world at large and everyday solutions are being created. If we don’t get involved, these solutions will still be created and we will have to use them whether they are suitable for us or not. And yes the opportunities are enormous and rewarding. It’s a career that even women of child bearing age can get started in as they can work remotely from their homes.
